Custom Sportswear Tech Pack Checklist for Overseas Apparel Buyers

A technical pack turns a sportswear idea into instructions that a manufacturer can assess. For international buyers working with a supplier in Sialkot, it also reduces the uncertainty of discussing a garment across time zones. The goal is a shared production reference, not a complicated document for its own sake.
Drawings and product identity
Give each style a unique code and revision number. Include front, back, and detail views showing panels, pockets, seams, closures, and branding. Write construction notes beside the relevant detail. Distinguish a required feature from an inspiration image.
Fabric and trims
Specify composition, knit or weave structure, target weight, colour reference, and the feel or stretch you want to assess. Include a bill of materials for zips, elastics, drawcords, labels, and packaging. If alternatives are allowed, require approval before substitution.
Measurements and size grading
Provide a base-size measurement chart with diagrams and tolerances. Describe the target fit and the intended customer size range. Agree how measurements change between sizes and how the size set will be checked. For training apparel, review comfort through the movements the garment is intended for.
Artwork and private labels
Supply usable artwork files, colour references, decoration method, and placement dimensions measured from defined points. List neck labels, care labels, hangtags, and any barcode requirements. Confirm ownership or permission to use artwork before sharing it for manufacture.
Quality and approvals
- Identify the physical sample used for fit approval.
- Record approved fabric and trim references.
- Agree wash, workmanship, and measurement checks.
- Define packing instructions and the shipment inspection scope.
- Record who approves revisions and how changes affect the quotation.
Commercial information
Include quantities by size and colour, sample delivery details, destination market, and any required launch date. Ask for an estimated schedule after the supplier reviews the brief. Keep commercial approval separate from design approval so neither is inferred from an informal message.
If you do not have a finished pack, begin with a structured brief and ask what development work is required. Our sample-stage guide explains the decisions to resolve before production. See manufacturing enquiry services for the next discussion.
Send your specifications to Meer Business Industry to discuss feasibility, sampling, minimum quantities, and a written quotation. Meer Wear is our secondary apparel name. Availability and commercial terms are confirmed for each enquiry.
